The WORKPRO Block Plane is ideal for cleaning up wood ends and edges by removing thin shavings of wood.  These cast iron block planes are easy to use and include a front wooden handle for improved control. They feature a single hardened and tempered steel blade set at a shallow angle, which allows the blade to slice through the end grain with greater efficiency. Best results are achieved when the plane is held at an angle of up to 45 degrees when pulling or pushing across the edge of the wood.
